In this episode I break down the new surfboard construction "Spine-Tek" from CI Surfboards. I chose the OG Flyer for this construction because of it’s versatility in 2-6’ surf.

In this review I talk about the technology, and how it feels under my. I also take some time to compare it to other board constructions like PU/Poly, EPS with a wood stringer, and another construction called Flexbar by CI Surfboards.

The Spine-Tek construction has great flex and feel. The board loads up on my bottom turns (stores energy) and then releases it and thrusts me forward into the next turn or section with great speed.

This new technology by CI and Shapers Australia is a great collaboration and I highly recommend it for your small wave boards in the 1-5’ range.
