In this episode, Noel and his friends review the T Patterson "Synthetic 84" Surfboard. Noel kicks off the episode by sharing that it's his first time riding a Patterson surfboard. After receiving numerous requests from the surf community, Noel decided to test the Synthetic 84, as it seems to be ideal for the 2’-6’ wave range that most surfers around the world ride.
Noel takes the board for a spin at Waco Surf, joined by Asa Cascavilla. After testing several fin setups, both Noel and Asa agree that the Synthetic 84 performs best with Noel’s Pivot Twins + Trailer.
Eric Petersen, riding the Synthetic 84 in knee-high to head-high waves in North Florida, also favors the Twin + Trailer setup. Eric notes that the board is fast through flat sections and excels at getting into the lip. Some of Eric’s carve-to-slide turns on the board are smooth and effortless.
Watch the full episode to hear from each surfer about their experience with the Synthetic 84 and see how it performs in different conditions.
